Vernon Jubilee Hospital was recognized for the “Civility Matters” project at the Facility Engagement Showcase held in Kelowna on October 23-24, 2023. The project exemplified the power of engagement and collaboration between a physician and his dyad partner, which spread quickly to support civility work in other departments throughout the hospital. The project conducted a robust evaluation showing 82% positive impact, which garnered interest from multiple levels of Interior Health and from other hospitals in the region.
The FE Showcase awards recognize Medical Staff Associations exemplifying excellence in the areas of innovation, achievement, partnership, and teamwork. The Certificate of Excellence in Achievement was awarded to a project showing significant results and alignment with the goals of the FEI Memorandum of Understanding.
