On November 6, 2025, Division’s Shared Care Priority Attachment working group, hosted a workshop From Chaos to Control: Strategies for Busy Primary Care Providers, designed to share simple, workable ideas to support smoother office workflows and improve patient access.
At The Cannery Brewery in Penticton, the evening kicked off with three dynamic, rapid-fire presentations that focused on practical, easy-to-implement tips:
• Dr Bruce Hobson – Mastering the Golden Minute and Agenda Setting
• Dr Robin Craven – AI Scribing
• Drs Fereidoon Kavosian & Kirk Dixon – Office Workflow Tips
Attendees appreciated the variety of topics packed with tips they could use right away, such as using dynamic forms, starting the day with a 5-minute MOA check-in, listening to patients uninterrupted, and exploring AI scribing platforms. One attendee said, “I really enjoyed the format and multiple short presentations.”
The second half of the evening featured an interactive panel Q&A, hosted by Dr Jackie Bourdeaux, where participants dug deeper into the topics. Residents commented, “We absolutely loved the event, found it super useful, and hope it becomes an annual tradition.” Feedback from our topic speakers was equally enthusiastic: “It was a brilliant evening with so many bright minds learning and sharing”, “That was so much fun! I’ve already started using the tips I learned from Kirk, Ferei, and Bruce.”
The Priority Attachment Project team is now working on building these practice tips and tools into ongoing resources for our membership, so they can be accessed anytime.
Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this event a success, with a special thanks to our presenters for generously sharing their time and expertise.
